How does the idea for a collection come about?
Francesca Bianchi, designer and CEO of the Arezzo brand Francesca Bianchi Design, explains the process that leads to the creation of a new jewelry collection. “The key elements are mainly two: first and foremost, creativity, and then research. Discovering the latest trends and always offering jewelry in line with them is fundamental to achieving success. The combination of these two elements allows us to create appreciated and original collections. Take, for example, one of our latest creations, the Giunchiglia: a youthful and colorful line, meticulously designed, which reinterprets a flower, the Giunchiglia, in an unexpected way, with an unprecedented shape. I love drawing profiles, lingering over the study of details… creating something completely new, that's the real satisfaction! In the case of the Giunchiglia, the stylized petals create a perfect weave, following one another to form a bracelet with an inimitable shape.
Lines, colors and materials: the secret of Made in Italy design?
“Certainly,” Francesca continues, “A ring, a necklace, a pendant, or an earring by Francesca Bianchi Design also has another fundamental characteristic to keep in mind: craftsmanship. Tuscan artisans handcraft everything that is produced by my creativity. And their contribution is essential to achieve an optimal result. Made in Italy is a highly valued plus, very important both in Italy and abroad. With it, the sense of preciousness and value of any piece of jewelry increases. For example, a piece of jewelry like the Cooper FS CB Bracelet, in addition to being hand-woven, is also hand-painted: the 24-karat gold-plated links alternate with colored links, in this case, red and white. The colors are produced in the maison's workshops, an essential point for obtaining the unique and inimitable brilliance that characterizes my creations. Just ask our customers!”
Accessories like the components of an orchestra: the music of designer jewelry collections
Francesca Bianchi's designer jewelry is created following a precise process: the inspiring creative idea, then the design, the actual implementation of a first prototype, and then the declination into the various accessories that make up an entire collection: the first item could be, for example, a bracelet, then the line is completed with the addition of earrings, necklaces, pendants, and rings. Then the tones in which all these items will be created are chosen. “Everything must be perfectly orchestrated, a symphony of colors and shapes: a real tough job!” – says Francesca, “but seeing our collections in store windows, receiving hundreds of beautiful messages on social media, photos and tags on how our jewelry is worn and how it brings originality and vibrancy to any outfit, repays the hard work.”
